This isnвЂ™t, of course, the only mod for Final Fantasy VII. While the mod doesnвЂ™t drag the character models into the 21st century, what it does do it replace the heavily harsh polygons with a smoother alternative that genuinely looks more like a manga interpretation. I remember that the changelog stated something like 'the 60fps mod needs to be updated to work again' but apparently it never happened. Following the release of a new modding pack, Final Fantasy VII gamers can now replace the main casts clunky polygons with new character models that are more faithful to the original concept art. I still have the 60fps mod on 7th heaven (its part of the 'Animation' pack in the catalog) but it doesnt work anymore since 7th heaven was updated about 1 year ago, it just crashes the game after loading a save. Some of them have nice character models ripped from Kingdom Hearts, or enemy models presumably ripped from later Final Fantasy games.

However, I see some mods out there that arent included in 7th Heaven. I keep getting this problem with the game crashing every hour or two. A quick Google search result suggests 7th Heaven is the primary way to mod FFVII. I decided to run with some mods to improve the visuals and the combat of the game. I had started once a while back but never finished.

The Satsuki mod can be downloaded on Qhimm, and it's a great way for PC players to enjoy Final Fantasy 7 in full HD. The mod is a great way to fix FF7's graphical problems and make everything look more modern while still retaining its classic appeal.
